Just added some new photos from our show at The Pike Room. Enjoy!
Great Show at the Pike Room
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support us at The Pike Room over the weekend. It was one of the best live mixes we’ve ever heard, and we really fed off of an amazing audience. The whole night had an amazing energy to it. We just updated our show at The Junction with some more info, so hopefully we’ll see you there in a couple weeks!
Small Small Seeds on iTunes and AmazonMP3!
I’m incredibly excited to announce that our new album “Small Small Seeds” is NOW AVAILABLE! For starters, you can take a listen to a few sample tracks on our Facebook / MySpace pages… And in an effort to make our music thoroughly accessible for everyone, we have released the album on iTunes and AmazonMP3. And for those of us that love something we can physically feel and hear in high-fidelity, we have hand-made packages featuring a 60-pg mini-booklet available upon request. Here’s a look at the packaging.
This album represents over a year of Cherie and I writing and several months of a LOT of our close friends and family rehearsing, writing some more, and recording with us. We couldn’t be more enthusiastic about this release, and we hope you’ll take some time to listen to the music. Thank you so much for your support and encouragment!
Small Small Seeds – February 16th
The newest Of Asaph album, ‘Small Small Seeds’ will be released on February 16th. We’ll have some of the new songs for you to listen to on the website, and hand-made physical copies of the album (including a 60-pg hand-bound miniature book) will be available for $10 on request. Heck, feel free to request one now if you like! In an effort to make the album readily accessible for everyone, we will also be making it available on iTunes and Amazon MP3 by the end of March (at the latest)!
Here We Go!
Our first show since finishing up our recordings will be on Friday, November 13 in Canton! We’ll have more info for you as it comes. Should be really exciting (and a little scary) to play some of the new stuff. The CD won’t officially be released for a few, so unfortunately we won’t have new packages on hand. But in honor of our new album ‘Small Small Seeds’, we’re making our first album, The Potential to Fill, available for free download here.
Done.
I just got the final mixes back for the second Of Asaph album, “Small Small Seeds”. They sound great! The whole experience was very different from the first album, which was mostly written in an apartment in Sarajevo, where I was living alone, and recorded almost entirely by myself. This one was a much more communal experience; we were joined by twelve or thirteen of our closest friends and family for probably half the vocals on the album. There’s a much greater sense of warmth and togetherness here. Can’t wait for everyone to hear it!
Just Finished Recording!
We just wrapped up recording last weekend! It was a ball; we had a makeshift choir of eleven or twelve of our closest friends in to help with some vocals, and it couldn’t have gone any better. Our good friend Josh did an amazing job of capturing the feel we were going for (somewhere between an African sunrise and the climactic scene of “Free Willy”). Excited to hear the mixes. Check out some photos from the experience here.
